Heart Reading … Day 51
Labor day weekend has started off beautifully.
Today was a great day — perfect weather, went to the beach (really wanted to swim in the ocean because by September it is warm enough for me to swim in but the red algae blooms were too thick — truly enjoyed playing in the sand though), went on a harbor sunset cruise and was surprised to find out that there was a “boat parade” tonight — two guys even dressed up in string lights and were dancing for the crowds!
When I was a kid I used to like to be buried in the sand. My son liked being buried in the sand. Today I was mesmerized by handful after handful after handful of warm iridescence pouring slowly or quickly depending on the pressure I applied to the sand.
I know soil has healing properties not unlike selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (i.e. anti-depressants) and sand is so beautiful and light and special that it must be like other soils.
Here is a link for soil basics — it’s important to appreciate how rare and important beach sand is (and to not let companies remove it from the earth for profit like it is not rare and very special). Soil is either sand, clay, or silt and most often a combination of the three.
My wish is for everyone to feel the peace that I feel in my heart today.
